Nonprofit Licensing Questions

Which nonprofits qualify for Microsoft donated licenses?

Most 501(c)(3) organizations qualify. Religious organizations, healthcare entities, and government organizations have different programs. Vortex will help you determine eligibility for free.

How long does the eligibility process take?

Once your TechSoup registration is confirmed, Vortex can typically activate your nonprofit licenses within 1-2 business days.

Can we get a mix of donated and discounted licenses?

Yes. Many nonprofits use donated Microsoft 365 Business Basic for most staff and discounted premium licenses for power users who need advanced features.

What if we already have Microsoft 365 through another provider?

We can migrate your existing licenses to the nonprofit program and transfer them to Vortex CSP without any downtime. You may see significant savings immediately.

Does the Azure grant require TechSoup registration?

Yes, the $3,500 annual Azure credit grant requires TechSoup validation. Vortex can guide you through the entire process.
